Research Interests: Social-and-Political Philosophy, Political Theory, 19th Century Continental Philosophy, Film Theory, Pop Culture, and Analytic/Continental Philosophy.
General Teaching Philosophy: The philosophy classroom should not only ask the deep questions about the human condition, or epistemology, or metaphysics, or ethics, or social-and-political philosophy, etc., but it should also integrate within it what is occurring around us today. It is that reason that I integrate popular culture into the classroom to help make manifest the true power of philosophy!

Nietzsche, and Karl Marx, as well as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the phenomenologists: Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and the great Feminists: Mary Wollstonecraft, Simone de Beauvoir, Judith Butler, and Carol Gilligan.
