What is Life After Community College?
Whether it means continuing one's education, transitioning to the workforce, moving, getting married, traveling, or some other significant life experience, much awaits students in the world upon leaving College of the Canyons.
Why is Life After Community College important?
There is a whole new world waiting to be explored once your stay at College of the Canyons has concluded. It is important to prepare for your transition. Staff is available in various departments including career services, counseling and the transfer center to help you explore your options. Don’t wait until you take your last class at College of the Canyons to plan your next move.
Transferring to a university is one option to pursue during life after community college. There are numerous choices from the California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems to private universities both within and outside of the state. Entering the workforce full-time with the skills and education one has learned is another avenue that can be explored. Some entry level jobs exist that require an associates degree or certificate of completion in a course of study.
