Please be prepared to answer the following questions during your academic counseling appointment:

  • What is your academic goal at College of the Canyons?
  • Do you plan to transfer to a 4-year university?  If so, which university and transfer major are you considering?
  • Where did you attend school during your middle and high school years.
    • Where did you graduate high school from?
  • Have you earned college units at any institution in the U.S. or outside the U.S.?
    • If so, from what country and institution(s)?
  • Do you have a college degree from a college/university in the U.S. or outside the U.S.?
    • If so, from what country and institution(s)?

Foreign transcript evaluation
To have your foreign college/university coursework evaluated for possible COC credit, it will need to be evaluated by acurrent NACES member and consist of the following:
  1. Detailed, course-by-course evaluation
  2. Grades and units listed for each course
  3. Upper and lower division course designation
