Complete our Online Orientation

(If you have already completed the online application proceed to the next step, Assessment Testing.)

Online Orientation is a web-based advisory that references information about college support services and programs as well as academic departments and classes. It includes critical information you need to know in order to navigate your way through college.

How do I prepare for orientation?

You will need to have your Student ID number so you can get credit for completion. Forgot your student ID number?  You can access it by going to Canyons.edu, and clicking on MyCanyons.  Give yourself at least 40 minutes of quiet time to go through the orientation. You may also want to take notes, so have materials ready.

COMPLETE THESE THREE CORE SERVICES IN ORDER:

1. Online orientation
2. On-ground assessment testing
3. On-ground new student advisement workshop

Orientation and assessment are required by June 30 for an earlier registration appointment.  The new student advisement workshop is highly recommended, and can be completed beginning July 7.

We know from experience that students who complete certain core services are more likely to meet their educational goals. Because these core services are so critical to college success, we are making their completion mandatory for all new students.
