College of the Canyons offers its career and technology education students a textbook lending program, called the CTE Lending Library. This program allows students to borrow their vocational textbooks for the semester at no cost. It's 100% FREE, if you qualify.
The program is sponsored in part by the Career and Technical Education - Perkins IV Title IC Grant.
What are the student eligibility requirements?
The Student must:
- Meet the definition of a special populations student for Perkins funds (a Federal Grant):
- individuals with disabilities;
- individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including foster children;
- individuals preparing for non-traditional fields;
- single parents, including single pregnant women;
- displaced homemakers; and
- individuals with limited English proficiency
- Have at least a 2.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Be a regular college student currently enrolled at College of the Canyons
- Have a declared academic program (major) and be enrolled in at least one class for that certificate program (Please see the CTE Lending Library - Textbook Availability List below.)
How do I apply?
- Complete and sign a CTE Lending Library Application Form in the Financial Aid Office. Click Here to download the application.
- CTE Lending Library Application Forms will be processed two weeks prior to the first day of the semester/term
- Financial Aid Office Hours - Valencia Campus: Monday - Thursday 10 AM to 7 PM and Closed Friday - Sunday
- Financial Aid Office Hours - Canyon Country Campus: Monday - Wednesday 10 AM to 5 PM, Thursday 10 AM - 7 PM, and Closed Friday - Sunday
